SA Belgian Waffles

Started by husband and wife, Stephan and Adel, who are passionate about the food industry and saw the opportunity to bring the Authentic Brussels Waffle to the South African Market

Supplying the Restaurant,Catering  and Coffee Industry as well as the Home Market and Online Orders. 

 

Our Waffles are freshly baked , pre packed and quick frozen to lock in the freshness and crisp.

 

Pop them directly from the freezer in a pre-heated  oven till nice and crispy,

 

 

 

 

The Origin of The Waffle

Waffles started way back in the Middle Ages as Wafers,long  hinged handled irons that cooked thin crisp bread both sides at once in a fire.

Our modern irons evolved directly from this.

 

The Brussels Waffle 

Introduced by Maurice Vermersch of Brussels, Belgium in 1964 at the World’s Fair in New York, which he called the “Bel-Gem”  Waffle.

 

Made of liquid dough, it is a deeply indented waffle with a golden brown crisp exterior and a light airy inside

 

CONTAINS NO SUGAR OR RISING AGENTS AND NO ADDED PRESERVATIVES 

 

Served Plain with confectionary sugar,

Savoury or sweet toppings.
